South State Bank food drive benefits Council on Aging
South State Bank’s Clemson–Carolina canned food drive raised 304 food items that will benefit the Jasper County Council on Aging.
And much like last weekend’s football game, Clemson prevailed in the 11-day food drive with 159 items credited to Tigers supporters compared to 145 for Gamecocks fans.
Antoinette Freeman and Lila Resh of the Council on Aging received the food, which will benefit the county’s seniors.
The Council on Aging serves more than 4,000 meals a month at its four senior centers and has 116 seniors on its Meals on Wheels route.
